When I was a kid even as a teenager, I never seen in black and white. I seen colors. When I saw a white person, I didn’t “see” a white person. I saw a soul. When I see black I didn’t see oh that person looks like me, I seen a soul. I seen a family.
Now, black people put down white people, and I either make them the enemy or I’m accused for being “anti-black” when I clearly love my culture, who I am, and my hair.
I get it. Never forget the past. Don’t forget your history. But when will we start seeing souls in color like children and not in black and white?
I was stripped of my colors.
You’re. Describing. Prejudice.
